An enraged lady, who has been in a relationship with her partner for eight years, has taken his boyfriend to court because he neglected to propose.
Herbert Salaliki who is 28 and Gertrude Ngoma who is 26, had been together for for a decade and even had a child together, but their relationship shattered after Herbert failed to follow through on his vow to propose.
Gertrude Ngoma, bored of her other half’s lack of official commitment, decided to take him to court and sue him for wasting her time after he failed to deliver on the happily ever after she had expected. Despite the fact that Herbert had made the dowry payment to her family, as is customary in their home Zambia, Gertrude thought that the father of her kid was not serious enough about their relationship.
He’s never taken himself seriously.
I brought him to court because I deserve to know what our options are and what our future holds.
she told the tabloid.
In court, Herbert Salaliki claimed that the reason he hadn’t proposed yet was because he didn’t have the financial to pay for a wedding, and that Gertrude hadn’t been a doting spouse or given him enough attention.
The judge advised the couple that reconciliation was the best course of action. It’s still unknown to whether they’ll stay together in the future.
