The internal results for the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) have been issued by the National Examinations Council (NECO).
Prof Ibrahim Wushishi, who is a NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, has apologized to Nigerians for the delay in publishing the examination results while announcing the results in Minna, Niger state.
He stated that 878,925 candidates received five or more credits, which included Mathematics and English language. According to Prof Wushishi, this figure represents 71.61 percent of the candidates.
Meanwhile, 1,226,796 candidates, or 94.04 percent, received five credits regardless of mathematics or English language.
He stated that 23,003 candidates were involved in examination malpractices, a decrease of over 13,000 from the previous year.
Also The chief executive said that due to examination malpractices on the 2021 examination, five schools, one in Bauchi, Kaduna, Bayelsa, and Katsina states, have been de-recognised.
