This reward is prior to the previous reward of $10m on the location of anybody who engages in hostile cyber activities against U.S. vital infrastructure.
DarkSide is cybercrime organization based in Russia, and according to the FBI, who said that Darkside was behind the May cyber attack on the Colonial Pipeline, which resulted in a days-long outage that caused a jump in gas prices, panic purchasing, and localized fuel shortages in the United States Southeast.
