The United States appoints an envoy to investigate the mysterious illness known as Havana Syndrome
The Secretary of the United States Antony Blinken has named a longtime diplomat to lead the inquiry into dozens of cases of “Havana Syndrome,” as the Joe Biden administration tries to figure out what’s causing the ailment, which has been described as a foreign adversary attack or a mass psychological event.
Anthony Blinken asked people to come forward with instances and announced additional attempts to identify the illness’s origins and he continued to refer to the allegations as “anomalous health events,” rather than attacks, demonstrating how the administration is still at odds with members of Congress and several victims who claim they were targeted by a listening device.
Below is Blinken statement;
These incidents have left our colleagues with profound harm, All of us in the U.S. government, and especially we at the State Department, are intently focused on getting to the bottom of what and who is causing these incidents, caring for those who have been affected and protecting our people.
