Previously on news on Validnewstoday about kidnapped UNIABUJA Staffs , the Nigerian police are said to have recovered six University of Abuja faculty members who were kidnapped by gunmen on Tuesday 2nd November.
The rescue operation’s details were vague, but Josephine Adeh, a spokesperson for the Federal Capital Police Command, verified the news in a statement this morning.
Two professors, a non-academic staff member, and three others were kidnapped from their official quarters.
Over a dozen hoodlums are claimed to have fired their way into the compound and abducted their victims.
They sought N300 million in ransom twenty-four hours later after the Kidnap.
It was unclear whether a ransom was paid before the victims were allegedly rescued by the police or not.
The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the University of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a collaborative operation with other security agencies.
Adeh said in her statement.
