THE Lagos State Police Command has mentioned no fewer than 405 theft suspects had been arrested and 51 others killed in its operations between 2021 and 2022.
The Command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the figures whereas talking with the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN).
Hundeyin mentioned 245 suspects had been arrested, and 25 killed in 17 theft incidents in 2021, whereas 160 had been arrested and 26 killed in 20 incidents in 2022.
In response to him, 350 theft operations had been foiled inside the interval beneath overview, together with 169 in 2021 and 181 in 2022.
Hundeyin famous that 206 arms and 775 ammunition had been recovered through the interval. 100 and eight arms and 348 ammunition had been recovered in 2021, whereas 98 arms and 427 ammunition had been recovered in 2022.
He additional disclosed that 262 suspected cultists had been arrested through the interval from 32 cultism instances recorded. 100 and twenty-eight cultists had been arrested from 18 instances in 2021 whereas 134 others had been apprehended from 14 instances in 2022.
Three Police personnel misplaced their lives from 20 assaults on the Command’s operatives through the interval, with annually recording 10 assaults.
