The incident occurred around 5.45 a.m. on Sunday in Ogun State.
According to reports, the tanker overturned due to an axle failure while on its way into Rounder from Oju-Irin, Lafenwa, Abeokuta.
The TRACE, police, FRSC, and fire fighters worked tirelessly to restore normalcy after a fully loaded petrol truck crashed and a fire broke out in the area.
The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps spokesman had advised the general public, particularly motorists, to keep calm while living or traveling along the axis.
He urged the public not to scoop fuel, use cellphones, or cook with gas to avoid sparking a fire, but the collapsed truck exploded in the middle of the rescue attempt.
The public is asked to leave the area while TRACE, POLICE, FRSC, FIRE SERVICE, and other first responders deal with the latest incident.
However, as of the time of writing, no injuries or deaths have been reported as a result of the occurrence.
