On Monday the President of the Northern Ontario Hockey Association NOHA voted to shut down all sanctioned hockey games for the remaining year until the New Year.
This shut down is as a result of the rising Coronavirus cases and Omicron Variant. See also Omicron spreads significantly throughout the US.
In light of the current environment across the Province with respect to COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, the NOHA board of directors has made the decision that, effective Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, there will be a pause for all NOHA sanctioned game play until Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
NOHA president Sue Shepherdson stated.
The NOHA is permitting practice with physical distancing will be permitted bit pausing all games till January 3rd 2021 as the Organization Notes that with the rising cases, a good number of games have been recently postponed because of COVID-19.
