AdvertismentNollywood thespian, Alexx Ekubo, has shocked his fans after he announced that he does not wish to associate himself with a wedding henceforth.
It is no longer news that Ekubo’s ex, Fancy Acholonu, ended their engagement on the grounds of unreconcilable differences.
Although she stepped forward to tender an apology after several months, she later revealed that her action was instigated by Alexx.
Months later, a fan shares a photo of Ekubo on her Instastory and tells him she already has wedding plans with him.
In her words: “Am planning our wedding babes, make all this scarcity of money go fess so at 1 will marry you properly”
Ekubo replies to the fan and said: “I don comot leg from anything wey go lead to a wedding”.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that earlier this year, Acholonu accused Ekubo of not sleeping with her for five years of their dating.
In her words: “He didn’t want to be with me intimately, which was confusing and difficult for me to understand, especially for five years, so it did affect my self-esteem as I kept myself for him.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Acholonu ended her engagement to Alex about three months before their wedding in a terse Instagram post in August 2021.
For many years, there have been speculations about the Nollywood actor’s sexuality, especially as he has never been romantically linked to anyone, at least publicly.
However, his short-lived engagement to Acholonu in Los Angeles, California, in May 2021 put to rest the suspicions as it was the first time the 36-year-old actor would ever flaunt his woman publicly.
But while Acholonu evaded responding to questions that bordered around the actor’s sexual preferences, some of her statements were, however, clever and revealing, albeit silently.
“I can’t confirm or deny his sexuality, but for me, I loved him despite everything, and he still found ways to hurt me. And when he would cheat with curvy women, he wouldn’t perform with them either, so I don’t know.
“His sexuality is not the reason I broke up with him. I’m very open-minded, so regardless of his preference, love is love for me. I loved him for his personality and heart, nothing more,” ” She said.
