If you have heard the music Red Ruby Da Sleeze you may have observed that it samples a popular 00s Hip-hop anthem.
The song starts with a sample from Lumidee’s 2003 hit Never Leave You (Uh Oooh Uh Oooh) whereby the track’s iconic bridge can be heard. The same beat is used as a backing track for the most of the new Minaj song.
Lumidee’s best-selling record has reached number three on the Billboard chart and went straight to number one in ten countries after its 2003 release.
