Above is the photo of Maria Beckwith who is 47 years old, is a single Mom who was desperate for a good relationship was scammed of a total of £6,000. Maria Beckwith shares her heartbreaking story of how he meet with an online lover who had gone by the name David Mills on match.com.
She said she was matched with him on the social media and both started chatting and soon this began romantic daily text, this had started in January 2021 and she was desperate for the relationship to work.
The scammer posing as Mills have sent selfies and Videos of him daily to Maria who eventually fall for the man and had herself scammed of 6000£.
Below are screenshots of chats between Maria Beckwith and David Mills.

From the photos we could see of how the the so called David Mills had used a strategy to scam Maria. He had made Maria fall for him for a very long time and had claim he’s from Canada but was in London, now he claimed he was stuck in London because of an incident that will Tanisha his reputation and need money for pay of debt before coming home.

Meanwhile, Maria meaning to make the relationship work, needed to see him and this london was standing between them, he sees she doesn’t have money and now he sujects she take on loan. Maria later on regurally sent money to Mills.
Maria who said she is unable to trust people after the incident have been unable to retrieve the money as her bank has told her and the police says the scammer is unable to be caught. She had have doubts about David since he ask for money but really wanted to make the relationship work out, she had borrowed money from friends and given to him so they could be together.
David had showed her a check of 800,000 $ he’d get if finished his project with any problem and had promised her to buy a house for both of them.
What I know now is those photos were all fake, they were all photoshopped and he used special equipment to doctor someone else’s face onto his while we were on video calls.
When I realised I had been scammed it was heartbreaking because I lost the money, I lost friends I borrowed money from and I lost the person I thought I was falling in love with.
