Marcell Ozuna had his hand firmly wrapped around his wife’s neck just minutes before his arrest, which occurred on May 29.
The officers who arrested Marcell claim they were summoned to a residence for an attack in progress, which you can see from the cop’s body camera when he arrived at the Sandy Springs home.
Ozuna grabbed his wife by the throat with his right hand, according to the footage. And the cop yelled
Get your hands off her! Get on the ground! Get on the ground!
Ozuna was later apprehended and charged with felony offenses, including aggravated assault by strangulation, as a result of the incident. Eventually, the charges were reduced to misdemeanor family violence charges.
According to police documents, Ozuna’s wife informed them the fight started over accusations of adultery.
To settle the case, he agreed to enter a pretrial diversion program and was ordered to complete at least 200 hours of community service and take an anger management course, among other things. He was also put on a six-month probationary period.
