According to Reports, the Lagos State Government has reacted to a viral video showing children in a flooded ground having their school assembly in the morning.
The Primary school students were seen in the video performing the national anthem while knee-deep in muddy floodwaters in the footage.
The Lagos State Ministry of Education, in response to the video, claimed on its Facebook page that the structure had been dismantled and is being rebuilt. The statement had read;
The school assembly that went viral on social media is a low-cost private school in Makoko, Lagos State,” the statement adds.
A church took the video a few months ago with the intention of using it to collect donations for the school.
The structure has been dismantled and a new one is being constructed
On Monday, officials from Lagos State will travel there to assess the situation.
