Do you fear from the word exam? What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear someone saying ‘exams ‘? Let me guess. How to cover the lengthy syllabus of the semester? How to cover the lectures you skipped? Too much to study in such a little time or just need to revise the entire course?

Stress is at its peak during exams and so is depression. Studies are like a burden for some student and on other hand its fun for some. Some students like to group study and some like to study individually.  Students fear to forget whatever they learnt or studied for exam. Sometimes they can’t remember what they studied due to stress. The question here is when there is too much pressure of studies, how can this nervous breakdown be avoided.

  • Do not Bunk:

If you want to be stress free and peaceful during your exams, one of the most important things is not to skip your classes. Attending the lectures carefully and with full concentration can help you understand your subject. In this way studying won’t be a burden and you won’t have to focus too much during exams.

  •  Note the lectures:

If you take all your classes regularly, try to write the important things your instructor tells you. Make diagrams, bullets or write any incident what your teachers tells you. Just in case you forget you can open your notebook, read and recall it.

  •  Group Study

Sometimes you fear of exams and lengthy courses so much that you can’t study properly. There are many topics that you couldn’t understand during the lecture. What you can do is ask your friends to help you out with the topics which are hard to understand. In this way studies can be fun and easier to memorize.

  • FlashCards

While studying for your exam, it may happen that after covering all the course you start forgetting the topics and could not recall what you memorized. Flashcards is an effective technique. When you cover a chapter, make a flashcard and write one important word, heading or a story which may be helpful to recall the entire lecture.

  • Take Breaks:

Do not study continuously as you may get nervous breakdown. Take a 10 minutes break after every one hour. Talk to family member or a friend or eat some ice cream, lunch or dinner. Relax in those 10 minutes.

  • Revise:

Practice makes man perfect. Yes! After you have studied everything what your instructor told you. Take your flashcards and revise it again and again. Ask a friend or family member to take your test.

  • Good Sleep:

Do not take too much tension.  Don’t study all over the night. After you have covered your course and revised. Wish good luck to yourself and go to bed. Stop thinking about everything. Feel free and take a good nap so that you wake up fresh in the morning.
