Hipgnosis was based in 2018 by Mercuriadis and guitarist/producer Nile Rodgers and has since acquired catalogs from artists like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, in addition to producer royalties rights for Interscope Information co-founder Jimmy Iovine.
