We have seen a good number of popular celebrities being ‘cancelled’ or Banned on social media after doing something that netizens have felt was controversial.
Over the years, this has continue to occur although some of these Celebrities have been ‘cancelled’ because they have broken the law but several public figures have received the treatment for something many fans felt was wrong.
Here are five celebrities who were Cancelled on social media in 2021
Justin Timberlake
Earlier this year, February Justin Timberlake got cancelled or banned after the release of the Hulu documentary that had Framed Britney Spears.
He later apologised to Britney who was his former girlfriend and also Janet Jackson at that time.
I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.
I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.
