See the Live Results in the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Qualifying with Hamilton ahead of both Bottas and Verstappen in Q1.
Formula 1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart called it ‘difficult to justify’ saying Lewis Hamilton is the greatest ever driver, writes JOHN HUTCHINSON.
The Brit will attempt to beat Michael Schumacher’s record of seven world titles by defeating Max Verstappen at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
He has already overtaken the German’s record of 91 race wins.
But the 82 years old Stewart, who had won the driver’s championship three times already had described it as near-impossible to compare Hamilton’s achievements to speedsters of yesteryear.
He said that last year the modern-day racing calendar being busier, that Hamilton having a ‘so superior’ car and engine to other competitorsi the race had makes the comparison a tricky one.
