The congressman Elizabeth Ironbar had died in the early hours of Wednesday (207th Oct. 2021) after a long illness, according to Validnewstoday.
Ironbar had served her seat since 2015, but had failed to switch from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress after the state governor, Ben Ayade, defected to the APC.
Elizabeth Edem Ironbar, a lawmaker in the Cross River State House of Assembly who represented the Akpabuyo seat, has died.
The deceased, who was recognized in the Cross River State Assembly for her Disability Commission bill, is the second member of the ninth Assembly to pass away.
