President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the N21 billion building and equipping of a 14-bed Presidential Clinic today Thursday 28th October 2021.
Mr. Umar Tijjani, the Permanent Secretary of the State House, has told members of the Senate Committee on Federal Character. He has presented a N40 billion budget proposal for the statehouse. He also stated that the majority of the preliminary work has been completed, and that the Bureau of Public Procurement has been requested to issue a Certificate of No Objection.
Mr Umar Tijiani explained that the Presidential Clinic was conceived by the previous administration in 2012 and will be open for medical care to persons from other countries all around the world.
A laboratory, healing garden, pharmacy, and also x-ray facilities, as well as an operating theatre (OT), executive suite, and isolation sections, will be available at the new clinic.
