Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva finished fourth in Thursday’s (February 17th) 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, failing to win a medal.
The 15-year-old was the favourite to win before becoming enthralled in a huge controversy after she tested positive for banned drug trimetazidine in December and failed a drugs test.
After delivering an incredible performance in the early rounds, her previous efforts were not matched in her final skate, and she seemed shaky from the start.
She later suffered a huge fall which left a medal completely out of reach. However, on Twitter, people think the drop might not have been a mistake after all.
