The new eNaira fast wallet application has been removed from the Google Play Store, just 48 hours after reports that the digital currency was introduced. This had happened On Wednesday evening 27th Oct 2021, the eNaira speed wallet was unavailable for download, but the eNaira merchant wallet available.
Nigeria is the first west African country became on the continent to create a central bank digital currency as a result of the development (CBDC).
The CBN issued the digital currency, which is a digital version of the naira that is stored in the eNaira wallet, which is a secure wallet.
Nigerians would had downloaded the fast wallet for eNaira on Google Play store as of Wednesday, following the president’s announcement of it’s lunch.
According to a statement on the eNaira website, interested users can join up for the eNaira speed wallet by submitting their BVN registration credentials.
